World Travel Awards 2022

The Residence at The George, one of New Zealand’s treasured luxury boutique hotels, has once again won Oceania’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2022.

The award from the World Travel Awards for Oceania’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2022 for The Residence at The George markers the third year in a row and it the sixth time that The Residence at The George has been recognised in these awards having previously won Australasia’s Leading Luxury Villa 2016-2018

The award comes as the hotel continues to innovate and introduce services that deliver a “delightfully yours” experience as well as building on the 5-star Qualmark EnviroGold status with its ongoing sustainability initiatives.

One of the most recent innovations at The George was the introduction of eco-friendly sustainability sourced key cards (certified by the Forest Stewardship Council) to replace the plastic key cards previously utilised – these cards have a similar life span as a plastic card and are reuseable.
